David H. Johnson Sr. "Bay Bay" was born January 1, 1965 in Mitchell County, Georgia. His parents, the late Beulah and S.T. Johnson preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Little Willie Walker, Eliza Walker, Clora Kelson, and Ollie Williams.

He was educated in the Mitchell County Public School System where he was active in various school organizations, activities, and sporting events.

He accepted Christ at an early age and later in life became a member of Love Life Church Ministry in Mitchell County.

David was united in Holy Matrimony to Carol Anderson Johnson in 2009.

All of his life was spent in Mitchell County. He worked at Golden Peanut, now ADM, over twenty years until his health deteriorated. He was greatly loved and appreciated by all of his ADM family and received many service awards.

He leaves to remember the joys of his life, his loving wife, Carol Johnson; four children, David Johnson Jr, Suretha Johnson of Pelham, Georgia, Steven Johnson of Camilla, Georgia, Quanterrious Stewart of Thomasville, Georgia and Ja'Karri Johnson of Camilla, Georgia; three stepchildren; Shanice Brooks, Artemious Brooks, and Zuleika Johnson all of Camilla, Georgia; two sisters; Diann Freeman of Miami, Florida and Deborah Johnson of Camilla, Georgia; seven brothers; Cleveland Walker, S.T Johnson Jr, J.T. Johnson, James Johnson, Shelton Johnson and Jimmy Johnson Sr all of Camilla, Georgia, Ray Johnson (Audrey) of Baconton, Georgia; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren, three aunts, Eddie McClain, Mattie Hawkins, Sara Mango, and one uncle; Willie "Buck" Johnson; eight brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene Anderson, Winfred Anderson, Charles Anderson, Ricky Sheppard, Vivian Tate, Barbara Anderson, Andrea Shivers, and Myra Donaldson. He also leaves to cherish a host of nieces and nephews.
