David Sutton was born in Baconton, Georgia on August 29, 1970.  He was the fourth child born to the late Elizabeth M. Sutton and Ranson Shelton.

He received his formal education in the Mitchell County and Dougherty County School Systems.  Throughout his school years, he was actively involved in various school activities and functions.  During the early years of his life, he was taught to love and reverence God.  His faith never wavered—the joy of the Lord was his strength.

David was an extremely conscientious individual who gave his best at whatever he did.  For numerous years, he was employed with Kmart before the store's closing.  He was later employed as a taxi cab driver.  His most rewarding employment venture was his Janitorial Service which he owned and operated with great pride, offering outstanding professional service with seemingly endless energy.

Characterized by some as a mild-mannered young man, David's love for family and friends was infinite and her cherished each moment spent with them.  He was a proud father and an avid supporter of his children in all their endeavors.  Affectionately known as "Shay," David was straight-forward, genuine, and unchanging.  The strong bonds of friendship that he developed through the years will forever be remembered.

On May 31, 2021, David transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest.

Hurst and James Mitchell of Baconton, GA, and Willie A. (Joann) Mitchell of Newton, GA; great aunt, Carolyn Turner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
