Deborah A. Jones, beloved daughter of the late J. B. and Annie L. Jones, was born in Albany, Georgia on October 12, 1957.

A life-long resident of Albany, she received her formal education in the Dougherty County School System where she was active in various school organizations and activities.

Deborah was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She took great pride in taking care of her family and ensuring that she was there for her children. She was a very outgoing, happy, and kindhearted person whose smile was contagious. Anyone who was ever in her company could readily see that she enjoyed life and could make a friend anywhere she went.

Spending time with family and friends was one of Deborah's greatest joys. She had a giving heart, and no one was every a stranger to her. Deborah was genuinely kind, a nurturer at heart, put people first, and was selfless with her love. She will long be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, mischievous grin, and her unique sense of humor.

On Friday, January 3, 2020, Deborah's earthly journey ended as she transitioned to eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Jones.

Loving memories will be forever cherished by her children, Dedric (Theresa) Jones and Sharrell Fisher; siblings, Dorothy Mack of Savannah, GA, Janet Jones of Philadelphia, PA, Martha Knight, Annie Sheppard, Linda Jones, Michelle (Anthony) Smith, Barbara Grimes. Johnnie B. Jones, Thomas G. Jones, and James K. Jones all of Albany, GA, and Michael (Cami) Jones of Atlanta, GA; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
