Obituary

Debra Denise Floyd was born on September 30, 1959 in Worth County, GA.  She was the beloved daughter of Minnie Maude Fowler and the late A. J. Fowler.

At an early age, she confessed to Christ and became a member of the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Sylvester, GA under the leadership of the late Rev. John Sparks.

During her early education years, she attended the Worth County school system and in her high school years, she attended the Dougherty County School System -Class of 1977.  She then attended several classes at Albany Technical College.

Debra was employed by the Proctor and Gamble Papermaking Plant in Albany, GA for many years as a plant technician and then becoming employed at Ayres Aircraft for years until the closure of the plant.  She then later moved to Virginia and was married to Robert Floyd III.

She had a passion for helping family as well as complete strangers.  She opened her home and fed the homeless and did not mind sharing the fruits of her labor with her family, friends and neighbors.  The light of her life and the center of her joy was time spent with her children and grandchildren.  She was strong and had an inspiring soul, was loving humble and kind.  She was the life of her family.

On July 4, 2023, as she was surrounded by her loving family, God peacefully called her to her eternal home to rest.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her two beloved brothers; Andre and Harry Fowler.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by her three loving sons; Gerron Fowler(Tawanna) of Atlanta, Toney Fowler of Albany and Jarrell Fowler (Cheron) of Houston, TX, a loving mother Minnie Maude Fowler of Albany, eight grandchildren; Jazlyn Davis, Nakia Fowler, Jakob Fowler, Brielle Fowler, Cameron Fowler, Cali Fowler, Cayla McCoy and Cedra Weldon,  siblings; Glynda Gwen Spears, Barbara Fowler, Donna Lucille Clyde (Dewayne), Ruth Miller, Plymon Fowler (Patricia), Larry Fowler (Carissa), Kevin Fowler (Marie) and Zackery Wilson (Ronica), one aunt Charlie Mae Davis, one uncle Robert Stephens and a host of nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
