It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Demetrius Darnell Jackson, who departed this life on July 8, 2026 at the age of 38, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Born on April 5, 1988, we honor his memory by gathering to reflect on the legacy he leaves behind.
Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of Demetrius’s life. A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, GA 31701. A funeral service will take place on Friday, July 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Israel's Temple Worldwide, Inc., 721 West Society Avenue, Albany, GA 31701. Following the service, Demetrius will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery, 220 Cotton Avenue, Albany, GA 31701.
His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
