Derrico Thomas, the son of Terry Thomas and Taralyn Sneed was born in Albany, Georgia on May 26, 1984.

He received his primary and secondary education in the Dougherty County Public School System graduating from Monroe
Comprehensive High School.

Derrico had multiple interests during his life. He enjoyed writing music, drawing, and he loved the Atlanta Falcons. He knew the meaning of hard work and there wasn't anything that he couldn't do or wouldn't try.

He was a devoted father, unfailing brother and uncle, committed cousin, and a loyal friend. His gigantic smile and engaging personality touched the lives of family and friends in a very special way. His heart was filled with compassion, care, and love and his life was a light that will forever shine brightly.

On February 7, 2023, Derrico was called to eternal rest and peace. Loving memories will forever be cherished by his daughter, Nikevia Young; his parents, Taralyn Sneed and Terry (Felissa) Thomas; grandparents, Corine Thomas and Clinton (Trudie) Sneed; siblings, Brandon Sneed, Shante Fowler, and Quentin Thomas; aunt, Mary (David) Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
