Deser é Ashley Gray was born was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on May 21, 1987. She was the daughter of Kristin C. Jackson and Shari Kay Gray.

She received her early childhood education in the public schools of Trenton, Michigan.  After relocating to Albany, Georgia with her family, she completed her secondary education at Monroe Comprehensive High School.  Throughout school, Deser é was a lively, energetic student with a zeal for knowledge.  She later matriculated at Albany Technical College in the area of Business Administration Management.

Deser é was a very independent, ambitious, hardworking young lady who would go the extra mile and beyond to ensure her well-being and quest for a better future.  She was employed as a cashier at the BP Service Center for numerous years, took great pride in her work, was an exemplary employee, and stayed the course until all tasks were completed.

A beautiful free spirited individual, Deser é was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and unforgettable friend.  She had the unique ability to turn an ordinary day into an adventure, a chore into an activity, and a boring evening into a memory.  Her glowing personality and deep dimples drew people to her and she gave of herself freely—never expecting anything in return. Deser é saw the beauty in everything and the good in everyone .  Being surrounded by family and friends was a great joy to her and she cherished every moment spent with them.

On Monday, January 10, 2022, Deser é transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.

She leaves beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, Kristin Jackson and Shari Gray; grandfather, Jeff Woods; stepfather, Tyrone Culbreth; siblings, Vanessa R. Gray, Christian D. Gray, Joel Lee, Avanti Atkins, and Chase Jackson; a childhood friend, Ladasha Brown; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
