Dontavius Hodge was born on February 26, 1993, in Albany, Georgia.

He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Dougherty Comprehensive High School.   Throughout school, Dontavius was a lively, strong-willed young man who was always ready for adventure.  He loved all sports, but his love for football was apparent from the moment he walked onto the football field.  While at Dougherty, he was a proud Trojan and an exceptional football player with steadfast determination to become a ferocious competitor.  He continued his education at Albany Technical College where he gained valuable industrial/technical skills.

As a young man, Dontavius accepted Christ as his Savior.  He dearly loved the Lord and remained an humble servant while attending Agape Ministries in Shellman, Georgia.  On Saturday mornings, he conducted bible study with the neighborhood children.

Dontavius' was work ethics developed early as he engaged in diverse work experiences in Florida.  For numerous years, he was employed as a laborer with various warehouses in the Florida area.  He later gained employment as a chef which proved to be one of the most rewarding undertakings in his work history.   Dontavius knew the meaning of hard work and there wasn't anything that he couldn't do or wouldn't try.  He was a persistent, conscientious worker whose employment was marked by honesty and integrity.

Simply a true joy to everyone around him, Dontavius had a fierce love for family, friends, and his community.  His contagious smile and happy demeanor could light up a room and there was never a dull moment when in his presence.  He was quite possibly the best father, son/grandson, companion, and friend anyone could ever hope for and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

On August 21, 2022, Dontavius departed this earthly life in Miami, Florida.  He leaves an unmatched footprint in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of his daughters, Aubrey Hodge and Jakia Davis; mother/grandmother, Rhonda Lane; grandfather, Mayshack Lane; mom and dad, Tameika Hodge and Mark Rouse; siblings, Celease Hodge, Dontrell Hodge, Cameron Bryant, Zayquan Bryant, and two bonus siblings; his fiancé, Shonica Wright; aunt and uncle, Nathsha Lane and Lawrence Lane; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
