IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Earlene Felicia
Boyd Ransom
May 15, 1946 – July 17, 2017
A Time to Learn: She attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School and graduated in the class of 1965. She continued her formal education at the Albany Area Vocational School where she earned the CNA certification.
A Time to Serve: Very early in life, Earlene accepted Christ as her personal Savior and began her journey with the Lord at the Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully for numerous years. While at Union, she was a dedicated member of the #2 Choir. In later years as she continued her walk with the Lord, she united with the Bibleway Baptist Church serving faithfully until her health declined.
A Time to Love: Earlene was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Moore, Sr. With this union, three children were born—Eddie Jr., Cynthia, and Candice. She later met and married Albert Ransom, Sr. and they were blessed with a daughter, Mable. Together, they nurtured their children with patience, discipline, humility and love.
A Time to Work: As a wife, mother, and grandmother, Earlene was diligent in caring for the needs of her family. She was a persistent, hardworking individual who was very passionate about her work. For many years, she was employed as a Nurse's Aide at the Palmyra Nursing Home and Albany Health Care. She also worked as a Mary K and Avon Representative for numerous years. Her kind spirit and pleasant personality significantly impacted the lives of everyone who knew her.
A Time to Embrace: Earlene was a very loving and gentle-hearted person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She loved deeply, laughed often, and had a style and flair of her own. Earlene had an endless reservoir of compassion for family and friends and she believed strongly in unconditional love.
A Time to Rest : On Monday, July 17, 2017, she answered the Master's call and quietly entered into eternal rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ransom, Sr.
