Earnest Lee Robinson, Sr., son of the late Geraldine Williams Lucas, was born in Lee County Georgia on March 16, 1944. He was the first child of four siblings.

During the early years of his life, he attended the public schools of Dougherty County and participated in numerous school activities.

Having professed his belief and faith in the Lord, Earnest was baptized into the body of Christ.

In 1962, he was united in holy matrimony to Katie M. Strawder. Their union was blessed with four children—Regina, Fredrick, Earnest Jr., and Antavious. In later years, he married Alice Hayslip.

Earnest was a persistent, hardworking individual who held fast to his belief that work is honorable. For innumerable years, he was employed as a truck driver with Duda and Sugar Cane Growers in Palm Beach County, Florida, before returning to Albany in 1994. Through the years, he worked tirelessly to ensure that no task was left undone.

"Swigg" and "Lee" as he was called by family and close friends, lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed being active and had many interests throughout his life. His wit, laughter, and imagination captured the attention of many who had the pleasure of knowing him.

On Monday, July 23, 2018, Earnest's earthly life ended and he entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine W. Lucas; and a brother, Henry Lee Lucas.

He leaves a lifetime of love and memories to be cherished by his children, Regina (Eddie) Brown, Fredrick (Burnie) Robinson, Jackie Frazier, Earnest (Thelma) Robinson, Jr., Lee Banyon (Kasha) Malone, Darrell (Debra) Malone, and Antavious Robinson; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; two siblings, Elnora W. (Joe) James, and Frank (Jeannette) Lucas; a sister-in-law, Pearlene Mosely Lucas; three very special friends, Theron King, Jessie Keith, and Kenneth L. Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
