Earvin Smith, beloved son of Rebecca Smith Thomas, was born in Arlington, Georgia on April 7, 1961.

He received his formal education in the Calhoun County School System and participated in numerous school organizations and activities.

At a very early age, Earvin committed his life to Christ and became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Arlington, Georgia.

Earvin had a servant's heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand.  He gave of himself effortlessly and was a friend, confidant, and supporter of the people around him.  He was a very humble man who could always make you laugh or smile.  Earvin will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and loved ones who were privileged to have been a part of his life.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, he  transitioned from this earthly life to a place of eternal rest.  Earvin was preceded in death by two sisters, Tracey Thomas and Sabrina Smith.

Cherished memories will forever remain with his daughter, Latressa Wade of Albany, GA; granddaughters, Da'Ziyah and Ty'Meitria;  loving mother, Rebecca Smith Thomas of Albany, GA; brother, Ronald Thomas (Cynthia) of Albany, GA; sisters, Cynthia Thomas Williams and Jennifer Smith of Albany, GA; half siblings, Dorothy Minto and Shelia Byrd (Carlton) of Albany, GA,  Jesse Stringer (Wanda) of Leary, GA, Billy Stringer of Arlington, GA, and Tanaka "Darcel" Stringer of Savannah, GA; one uncle Eddie Wallace of Albany, GA; a good friend, Raymond King; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
