IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eddie Dean
Jordan
June 1, 1937 – November 27, 2020
Eddie Dean Nelson Jordan , beloved daughter of the late Murray and Clara Nelson, was born in Terrell County, Georgia on June 1, 1937.
During the early years of life, she received her formal education in the Terrell County Public School System.
Eddie Dean was raised in a Christian home where she was taught the Word of God and the importance of living a life of strong character and loving kindness. At an early age, she professed her faith in Christ and united with the First Kiokee Baptist Church. She later continued her walk with the Lord serving faithfully at Houston Grove Baptist Church until her health declined. "Mother Jordan" as she was endearingly called by many, was a prayer warrior who stayed on the battlefield—always giving God the praise and glory.
She was united in holy matrimony to her beloved Emmitt Jordan. They shared a love that endured through the years and a devotion to one another that was strong and unshakeable. As a devoted wife, mother, and meticulous homemaker, she was extremely diligent in caring for the needs of her family.
Mother Jordan lived a life of kindness and compassion tempered with a loving spirit. She had a servant's heart and felt most comfortable when helping others and no one was ever looked upon as a stranger. The joys of her life were her family and friends whom she loved dearly and delighted in spending time with them. She was considered by many as a wise and trusted counsel, a difference maker, and a strong but humble person who will be missed dearly.
On Friday, November 27, 2020, transitioned from this earthly life at her daughter's home in Hahira, Georgia to be with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Jordan; four siblings, Charlotte King, Richard Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and Matthew Nelson; sister-in-law, Junie Mae Jordan Jones; great grandson, Fernandis Jordan; and two great granddaughters.
Loving memories will be forever cherished by her children, Gloria Mango of Hahira, GA, Clara Jordan (Kenneth Lyles), Julia Green (Robert Lessie), Manner (Mary) Jordan and Emitt (Cornelia) Jordan, Jr. all of Albany, GA, Elijah Nelson of Florida, and Bob Jordan (Diane Fullwood) of Donalsonville, GA; two sisters, Rosa Mae Hall of Albany, GA and Lula Mae Wesley of Detroit, MI; 23 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; special friends, Mable Woods and Josephine Ford; caregiver, Lenora Wade; and a host of nieces, ephews, cousins, and friends. \
