A Time to Be Born: Ecclesiastes 3:2… Eddie Winbush was the first child born to the late John Winbush and Cora Adams on June 19, 1945 in Terrell County.
A Time to Cherish: 1 Corinthians 7:3… In 1968 he united in Holy Matrimony to Helen Johnson Winbush. To this union two children were born. Edwana Collier and Eddie Winbush II, who proceeded him in death.
A Time to Serve: Revelation 14:7… Eddie was educated in the public schools of Calhoun County. He confessed to Christ at an early age and was a member of the Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Eddie was reared by his loving and nurturing grandparents, Hattie Bell and Governor Johnson for 12 years. In 1970, Eddie and his wife moved to Gary, Indiana. He was employed at USX Steel Mill in Gary, Indiana. He worked as an Industrial Inspector. Eddie and Helen moved back to Georgia in 2011. Eddie had an infectious smile and personality that would light up the room. He was loved by all.
A Time to Die: Ecclesiastes 3:2 ...On July 30, 2020, God called his solider home to take his rest. He was preceded in death by his parents John Winbush and Cora Adams; a daughter Edwana Collier; a son Eddie Winbush; two brothers Calvin Winbush and Cleveland Winbush. Grandparents, Hattie Bell and Governor Johnson.
A Time to Mourn: Ecclesiastes 3:4… Eddie leaves to cherish his memories, to a loving and devoted wife Helen Winbush; two daughters Alfreda Winbush and Teresa Winbush; one son Cory Winbush. Six sisters: Corene Winbush Hughley;
Bettye Winbush Ward; Denise (Calvin) Adams; Jenise (Anthony) Clark, Latanza (Emmanuel) Jackson and Karen (Michael) Whitehead. Three brothers: Milton (Melissa) Winbush, Willie Adams II, and Dennis (Nadene) Adams; two grandsons: Eddie III and Koah Gehmanm; two granddaughters Geovonna (Wesley) and China (Tolbert). One granddaughter Jasmine Seawood, who preceded him in death. Fifteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Three aunts: Molly Taylor, Lillie Nelson, and Ann Riggins. Two uncles: Roosevelt Winbush and Robert Winbush. Special aunt: Beatrice Winbush. Special cousins: Willie "Billy" Hardy and Ann Hart. Special friends: Harold Goodleet (Gary Indiana) Bob Foster(Atlanta, Georgia). Supportive neighbors: Tunna and Bobby Henry. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
