Edna Naomi Edwards Conley was born in Dougherty County, Georgia on December 15, 1953 to the late Roy Edwards and Edna Richardson Edwards Whitlock.

Edna received her education in the Dougherty County School System at Lincoln Heights Elementary, Southside Jr. High, and Monroe High. She earned her G.E.D. from Albany Junior College.

Edna accepted Christ and attended Beulah Baptist Church, River Road Church of Christ and later Beattie Road Church of Christ all of Albany, GA.

Edna married the late Bobby Lee Conley and Cleshanglo Ann Conley was born of this union. Later, Orlando Bernard Ford was born of the union of Edna and her life partner, Charles "Sonny" Ford.

Edna worked for the City of Albany, as a school crossing guard for 14 years until she retired.

Edna leaves the following to cherish her memory:  daughter - Cleshanglo Ann Conley; son - Orlando Bernard Ford; granddaughter - Sudie Naomi Belcher; brothers - Norman (Florine) Edwards and Lawrence P. Edwards; nephews - Michael (Teri) Edwards and Marcus (Romona) Edwards; nieces - Nautica Graddy and Tamya Edwards; cousins - Cassandra Simmons, Khandra Willis, and Ivan Jenkins; and many other loving relatives and friends.
