IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth
Williams
October 11, 1942 – September 27, 2022
Elizabeth Jones Williams was born in Albany, Georgia on October 11, 1942. She was the beloved daughter of the late Henry L. and Alice M. Jones.
She received her primary and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe High School.
"BaeRae," as she was endearingly called by family and friends, was an exceptionally talented young woman who developed a passion for drawing during her early school years. Throughout school, she took advantage of every opportunity to learn and grow while actively participating in various student organizations and activities.
Very early in life, Elizabeth began her Christian journey with the Lord at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful member who
freely availed herself in service; a God -fearing who fervently studied His Word; and a mighty prayer warrior whose faith and trust in God guided
her life and allowed her to be an example for family, friends, church family, and all who encountered her.
Elizabeth was a conscientious, devoted mother who ate not the bread of idleness and oftentimes sacrificed her needs for the good of her family.
For more than 35 years, she poured herself into her work at Coats & Clark in yarn finishing. She was passionate about her work and always stayed the course to ensure that no task was ever left undone. Through the years, BaeRae not only taught her children the value of hard work, but also the importance of living a life of integrity, strong values, and loving kindness.
Her diligence in caring for her children and grandchildren was incomparable.
A genuinely good -hearted, humble individual, Elizabeth put a lot of effort into making others happy. She always had a positive attitude, was quick to smile and laugh, and was an expert at making people feel special. Family and friends were among her greatest cherished gifts and she truly enjoyed each moment spent with them. She believed deeply in unconditional love, delighted in helping others, and accepted everyone for who they were.
The strong bonds of friendship that she developed through the years will forever be cherished by those who loved her
—especially Rose Rowe, Rachel Richards, and Pauline Jenkins. Elizabeth 's life was full of interesting quirks and experiences. She started each day at 6:30 a.m opened windows and tended flowers; consistently watched the Price Is Right; and devoured hearty southern meals for breakfast. BaeRae also enjoyed listening to music and engaging family and friends in countless hours of endless conversation.
On week prior to her earthly sunset, Elizabeth emphatically informed her family that she was going to her late mother's birthday party. And on that
day, September 27, she transitioned from this earthly life to attend her mother's party in heaven. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased
by three siblings, James Walker, Robert Jones, and Johnny Jones; her grandson, Preston Williams; and her son-in -law, David Starling.
Cherished memories of a life well lived will forever remain with her loving daughters, Carolyn Williams and Veronica Starling; grandchildren,
Precious Sisroe, Promise Haycliff, Princeton Qualls, and Parrish Starling; six siblings, Katie Evans, Roxie Taylor, Wade Jones, Robert (Merita) Jones, Helen (Nonkey) Smith, and Linda (Vincent) Russell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
