IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ella Mae
Glover Lovette
May 23, 1943 – February 28, 2020
Ella Mae Glover Lovette was born in Dougherty County, Georgia on May 23, 1943. She was the beloved daughter of the late Dora Bell Lovett and Ore Glover.
She attended the public schools of Calhoun County and was active in numerous school functions and activities.
Imbued with a strong Christian background, she professed her faith in Christ early in life and united with the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and remained steadfast in her service for more than 50 years.
Ella was united in marriage to the love of her life, Roosevelt Lovette, Jr., and they were blessed with a loving and caring family. Domestic at heart, she was diligent in her efforts to foster a home filled with love, joy, and strong values. Her husband and her children called her blessed. For many years, she was employed as a Nurse's Assistant in the Albany area. She had a servant's heart and felt most confident when caring for others.
Always kind and loving, Ella greeted each day with a smile and touched the lives of people around her in a very special way. She was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things; accepted everyone for who they were; and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. Family and friends were among her most cherished gifts and she truly enjoyed spending time with them—especially her grandchildren who held the key to her heart. Ella was a devoted wife, a phenomenal mother, an extraordinary grandmother and great grandmother, a wonderful sister and aunt, a loving cousin, and an unforgettable friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
On February 28, 2020, Ella peacefully transitioned from the cares of this life to her heavenly home with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Lovette, Jr.; and two daughters, Janie Grant and Melody Goode.
Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Evangelist Sarah Ann Holley of Anchorage, Alaska, and Sandra L. Moten and Fredrick Barnes both of Albany, GA; grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Bishop John F. (Inez) Thomas and Elder Mary F. Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
