November 19, 1946 - February 3, 2023 Ms. Ella Lee Vinson was born on Tuesday November 19, 1946 in Dougherty County to the late Weldon Vinson and Essie Mae Bryant at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, GA. She was the fifth of nine children.

In her early years, she was educated in the Dougherty County School System where she gained valuable technical and life skills.

Afterwards, she furthered her education in Atlanta, Ga.

Mother Ella was a very conscientious individual who was no stranger to hard work. She worked many years for Sears and Roebuck and Munford Incorporated and then was later employed at Dekalb County School.

She never hesitated to extend her warmth, care and kindness. She enjoyed cooking her southern dishes and her exquisite cakes and pies were her joy which she learned to make from her mother. After retiring in 2009, she continued to cook delicious dinners and pastries for her family and friends.

At the early age of 19, Ella moved to Atlanta Georgia. She then joined New Morning Light Baptist Church to further her Christian experience. She had an infectious laughter and made many lifetime friendships. She spent 11 years of enjoyment living at her last home, the Veranda at Auburn Pointe II. She lived an exciting time and attended the City of Atlanta Mayor's Balls more than once.

She is preceded in death by her siblings; Charles Jones, Ethel Bryant, Gloria Jones and Kathleen Berry.

Early on Friday morning, February 3, 2023 God sent an angel to the bedside of his beloved Ella. She then transitioned to the arms of her waiting Savior, Jesus Christ.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her children; Barbara Vinson (Marietta), Stephanie Brooks (Atlanta) Terrish Vinson of Union City, siblings; Bonnie Wheeler of Albany, Francis (Willie) Thomas of Albany, L.C. Brant of Albany, Marilyn (Alfred) Tillman of Crete, IL seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
