IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ellen R.
Peters
December 9, 1952 – November 22, 2024
Ellen Rachel White Peters, beloved daughter of the late Elijah White and Mattie Pickett White, was born in Weston, Georgia on December 9, 1952.
She received her formal education in the Webster County School System. Throughout her school years, she enjoyed a very active and well-rounded educational experience. She continued her quest for knowledge at the Shellman Vocational School in Randolph County.
A woman of great faith and belief in Christ Jesus, Ellen attended New Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church of Weston, Georgia. She dearly loved the Lord and remained humble and prayerful in her daily walk.
On March 7, 1973, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Willie C. Peters. Their union endured through the years and they were blessed with loving children. Ellen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who looked well to the ways of her household and ate not the bread of idleness. She was full of energy, stayed on the move, and was well organized—everything had its place! Anyone visiting her home could readily see that she was an immaculate housekeeper who firmly believed that cleanliness was next to godliness.
A kind and very generous individual, Ellen had a servant's heart and always stood ready to help others or lend a listening ear. Many people considered her a trusted friend whose doors were always open. She was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
On November 22, 2024, Ellen transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willie C. Peters; and five sisters, Rushie Bell Jackson, Ella White Threets, Frankie White Shingles, Lillie White Townsend, and Nellie Bell Davis.
Loving memories will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Moses F. White (Christian of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Yvonne White of Albany, GA, Willie Peters, Jr. of Dawson, GA, and Carrie Bell Peters Burkes (Rodriquez) of Dawson, GA; grandchildren, Jermain White (Tiana) of Dawson, GA, Alexis White, Alesia White, Marquis White (Nancy), and Maurice White all of Ft.
