Ellis Reese Wade was born in Cordele, Georgia on October 5, 1955. He was the beloved son of L. H. and Martha Wade.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Albany High School.

At an early age. Ellis accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a member of the Mock Road Church of Christ where he served faithfully under the guidance of Minister Jessie Jackson. He truly loved the Lord and remained steadfast through the years. Blessed with the gift of song, he utilized his talent to sing praises unto the Lord.

Ellis' professional work life as a security guard with HUDD of Atlanta, Georgia was diverse and very rewarding. He was a persistent, hardworking, and dedicated employee who held fast to his belief that work is honorable; and labored untiringly until becoming disabled.

Loving father, caring brother, committed uncle, and loyal friend, Ellis embraced opportunities and the chance to experience life with open arms. He had an endless reservoir of love for family and friends, and he truly enjoyed spending time with them. He laughed often, felt unbridled happiness, and loved unconditionally. He will be missed by all who dearly loved him.

On January 26, 2019, Ellis departed this earthly life and transitioned to his eternal home. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Bessie Wade.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his daughter, Elisha A. Wade (Denise Weems); his sister, Marneda F. (Cedric) Myers; nephews, Jarail R. Wade, Cedric (Dean) Myers, and Garrett (Quan) Myers; nieces, Sheneka (Jermaine) Davis, and LaShondra Myers; uncle and aunt, Anthony Wade and Ann Wade; extended family, Charlie Martin and Teresa Spires; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and special friends.
