Obituary

Eloise H. Allen, beloved daughter of the late Johnny Taylor and Ollie Ree Daniels, was born in Leary, Georgia on March 18, 1951.

She was educated in the Calhoun County School System and the Turner Job Corp Center.

Early in life, Eloise accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Sweetfield Baptist Church where she served faithfully in numerous capacities.   She dearly loved the Lord and remained humble and prayerful throughout life's journey.

Eloise was a devoted wife and mother who looked well to the ways of her household and ate not the bread of idleness.  For many years, she skillfully balanced her responsibilities as a homemaker with her employment as a cook and manager of the local Huddle House.  She was a loyal, dedicated employee who was proud of the service she provided and worked diligently to ensure that all patrons were completely satisfied.

A very loving yet outspoken individual, Eloise saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home.  Her doors were always open and her table was always spread with delicious treats for everyone to enjoy.  You could not know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family and friends.  In her leisure, she enjoyed shopping and gardening.

On October 11, 2024, Eloise transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest.  She was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew and loved her.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Leroy Daniels, LeConte Allen, and Patricia Daniels; her sister, Gladys Bobb; and one granddaughter, Jazmine Henderson.

Loving memories will forever remain with her devoted husband of over 30 years, Benjamin Allen; her daughters, Michelle Henderson and Timeka Allen; siblings, Pastor Joyce (Joe) Gaines, Bertha (Richard) Green, Glennis Martin, Robert Hall, Eddie Hall, and Annie (Charlie) Carter; numerous grandchildren; special friends, LaDalia William, Harold Isaac, Alice Martin, Sam Brown, Alex Sampson, Sr., and Taurus Batten; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
