Emanuel T. Whitehead Sr. was born on March 12, 1972 in Albany, GA. He was the beloved son of the late Henry Walker and Annie Harris.

In his early years, he was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He also gained valuable life skills at Job Corps and received his carpentry certificate.

He confessed Christ as his Lord and Saviour and joined the Greater Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Lorenzo Heard.

Though Manuel never sought to make a name for himself, his reputation ensured that he was recognized and respected wherever he went. He was a laid-back person, enjoyed his family and friends, loved fast cars and trucks and enjoyed traveling.

Manuel was a very conscientious individual who was no stranger to hard work. He was employed with Lineage Logistics for seventeen years until his health began to decline.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, Manuel departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories his son Emanuel Whitehead Jr., his sister, Cassandra Whitehead, his stepfather Steve Harris, his two nieces; Kyania Gaines and Alivia Davis, four nephews; Donarious Whitehead, Alvin Davis, Zachessus McCray and Briston Johnson,
seven aunts; Pauline McCollough, Willie Pearl Love, Linda Harris (Freddrick) Dorothy Whitehead, Rosetta Walker and Brenda Warren (Anthony) all of Albany.

Jimmy Nell Abney of Augusta, GA, four uncles; Willie Frank Whitehead, Richard Whitehead both of Albany, Willie L. Whitehead of Atlanta and Ronnie Whitehead of Oklahoma City, OK two stepsisters; Latoya Anderson and Katrina Wilson and two stepbrothers; Ollie McNair and Reginald Anderson and a host of cousins and friends and a special cousin, Antonio Whitehead and a longtime friend Vontressa Whitehead Brown.
