Eric Cherrod Bell was born in Albany, Georgia on August 27, 1975, to Deborah A. Bell Green and Clennon Jones.

He was educated in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Monroe Comprehensive High School in 1993. Throughout school, Eric was a very active and energetic student who garnered much from his educational and co-curricular experiences. At an early age, Eric accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served for several years.

Eric was a meticulous, conscientious forklift driver at Target where he was often recognized for his exemplary work performance. No matter what the task, he never shield away from a challenge and always stayed the course to ensure that nothing was ever left undone.

Cherrod/Jones, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was extremely involved in varied recreational activities throughout his life. As youth, he participated in many sports. As an adult, he was a serious Georgia Bulldog fan. Simply a true joy to everyone around him,
Cherrod had an endless reservoir of love for his family and friends. His contagious smile and happy demeanor could light up a room and there was never a dull moment when in his presence. He was quite possibly the best son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend
anyone could ever hope for and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.

On Monday, September 18 2023, Eric transitioned from this earthly life at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Eula H. Oliver; stepfather, Ivery Green; and his aunt and uncle, Brenda Andrews and James Oliver.

Cherished memories will forever remain with his parents, Deborah A. Bell Green and Clennon (Fatima) Jones; his children, Jaquan Bell, Eric Weston Bell, and Kaisha Bell; granddaughter, Ja'Kinsley Bell; grandmother, Mary Frances Jones; siblings, Monica Green, Melba Green, Sabrina (Karis) Stubbs, Clennysha Jones, and Antonio Clemons; nieces and nephews, Antania Green, Savanna Green, Matthew Green, Antonio Hayes, Jr., and Braxton Green; aunts and uncles, Linda Moore, Jacqueline Jones, Francine Bell, Juanita Jones, Ola Jones, Dennis (Valerie) Oliver, Johnny (Delores) Jones, and Raymon Jones; great uncle, Cornelius (Bernice) Williams, Sr; great aunt, Flora Bell (Charles) Bennett; god-aunt, Lisa Jackson; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
