IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eric Lavon
Singletary
August 31, 1966 – May 21, 2021
Eric Lavon Singletary, son of Ms. Jerry Singletary, was born August 31, 1966, in Albany, Georgia. He was raised under the guiding hand of his mother and grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen.
He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe Comprehensive High School. While at Monroe, he was a exceptionally talented and fierce "tornado" football player.
Often described as an enthusiastic, free-spirited individual, Eric lived life boldly and bravely walked to the beat of his own drum. When in the company of family and friends, he was always the "life of the crowd." His sense of humor and laughter kept his family on their toes and captured the attention of everyone around him. Eric enjoyed life and all that it had to offer. In his leisure, he enjoyed listening to music; was an avid football fan; and delighted in spending time with family and friends.
On May 21, 2021, Eric transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth Allen, Willie Allen, and Charlie Lee Singletary; his aunt and uncle, Perry Singletary and Ann Singletary; and three special cousins, Jack Shealy, Jr., Patricia Shealy, and Bernard Allen.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by his mother, Jerry L. Singletary; his son, Terrance (Raven) Singletery; aunts and uncles, Delisa Watts, Patricia (Harvey) Hill, Rosetta (Leon) Drake, Willie (Alysia) Allen, and Keith (Carla) Thomas; special friends/cousins, Larry, Daryl, and Reginald; and a host of cousins, extended family, classmates, and friends.
