Ervin Jerome Covin, Jr., beloved son of the late Ervin Jerome Covin, Sr. and Geraldine Thomas Covin, was born in Albany, Georgia on October 20, 1969.

He was educated in the Dougherty County School System where he was actively involved in various school functions and activities.

A man of faith and belief in Christ Jesus, Ervin attended Gethsemane Worship Center under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Frederick Williams, Sr..  He dearly loved the Lord and remained prayerful throughout life's journey.

Ervin was a conscientious, persistent individual who wore many hats during his professional career.  He was no stranger to hard work and labored untiringly as a cook at Sunset Grill and Blackbeard's, provided landscaping services in the Albany area, and assisted his grandfather at this Taxi Cab Company. Throughout his employment, he stayed the course uto ensure that every task was completed.

Loving father, unfailing brother, caring uncle, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend, "Cooky"  loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest.  He truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and stood ready to give support or lend a helping hand.  In his leisure, he enjoyed listening to music and enjoying the beauty of nature.

On Saturday, June 22, 2023, Ervin transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace.  Although his departure leaves a void, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him dearly..

He is survived by his daughter, Alana Covin; grandmother, Lucille Lawson; siblings, Michelle Whitaker, LaTasha (Matt) Idlett, Shadendra (Derek) Williams, Brianna Covin, and Sherick Covin; his very special cousin/brother, Gary Anderson, Jr.; nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
