Eva Bell Jackson Lee was born on May 14, 1948, in Leesburg, Lee County, Georgia to the late Eugene Jackson, Sr. and the late Catherine Clements.
In 1960, Eva joined the Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend E. J. Menefee. Eva was a dedicated Sunday School Member where she as teacher of Beginners A Class, Assistant Teacher, Secretary Of The Senior Choir for over 30 years, Supervisor of the #3 Usher's Ministry, Supervisor of the Jr. Crusaders, and Supervisor of the Kitchen Committee.
Eva was a 1966 graduate of Monroe High School, also a well known basketball player for the Golden Tornados.
Eva was joined in holy Matrimony to Mr. Jimmy Lee, Sr. in 1969 and to this union 3 children were born.
In 2014, Eva retired from Dougherty County Public School System with 41 1/2 years of service as a Dietcian Manager at M. L. King Elementary School.
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Eva gained eternal rest. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her only son, Dea. Jimmy Lee, Jr.; three siblings, Eugene Jackson, Jr., Willie Jackson, and Sara M. Jackson; and one nephew, Michael G. Jackson.
Loving memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Jimmy Lee, Sr.; 2 daughters, Tammy (Reverend Anthony) Jordan and Belinda Lee; one sister, Gloria Freeman Jordan; 7 grandchildren, Aliyah Jordan, Anthony Jordan, Jr., Shanacee Peterson, Shauntavious Peterson, Keyshante Singleton, Jasmine Jones, and Jimmy Lee, III; 9 great grandchildren; 1 niece, Shirley Carter; two nephews, Corey Jackson, Sr. and Eric Jackson; 1 goddaughter, Yolanda Jackson; 9 ssisters and brothers-in-law, Rita (Mahdi) Ziyad, Lou Ann (Minister Johnnie) Overstreet, Jennifer (Jamal) Branch, Charlie (Clementine) Smith, Eddie (Joyce) Smith, Nookie (Helen) Smith, Eric (Judy) Newkirk, David (Teresa) Newkirk, and Alfonzo Smith; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
