His Beginning: The journey of life for Fernandez Marvin Brown began in Albany, Georgia on November 24, 1962. He was the beloved son of the late Rosa Mae Brown and Golden Harris.
His Growth and Development: He attended the public schools of Dougherty County where he participated in various extracurricular activities, including the band. He continued his education at the Whitney M. Young, Jr. Job Corps Center in Louisville, Kentucky where he completed the requirements for the General Education Diploma (GED).
At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Greater Cutliff Grove Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member of the choir and willingly served wherever needed.
Professionally, Marvin was an exceptional construction worker who gave his best and equal importance to every job that he encountered. Over the years, he made many life-long friends through his employment.
"Flabba Mouth" as he was affectionately called, was a loving family man with a kind heart. He was active, outgoing and very family oriented. Marvin found peace and contentment in music. His favorite song was "Let's Stay Together" by Al Greene. He also enjoyed the soulful sounds of Teddy Pendergrass and Tyrone Davis. Some of the happiest times of his life were spent with his family and friends, and singing in the shower. Marvin truly was a good man.
His Homegoing: On Tuesday, July 30,2019, he answered the call to eternal rest. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Rosette Brown and David Lee Brown Sr.; and two uncles Willie Brown and Johnny Brown.
His Legacy: The legacy of his season will remain in the hearts of his children, Anthony Ferron Brown of Panama City, FL, and Antonio Fernandez Brown Sr., Donquerious Brown, and Martavious Brown all of Albany GA; grandchildren, Kavon Burns, Antonio Fernandez Brown Jr. and Zoey Brown; siblings, Willie Brown, and Subrenia Brown (Oscar) of Albany GA, and Patricia Richardson (Tracy) of Snellville, GA; devoted aunts, Mildred Mack and Pauline Brown of Albany GA; uncles, Arthur Brown, Charles Brown, David Brown, Eddie Brown (Ann), and Solomon Brown all of Albany, GA; great uncle Willie Bryant (Dorothy) of Albany GA; nieces Kenyata Brown, Victoria Coleman and Saliphia Brown; nephews, Mitajh Swan of Marietta GA, and Kenny Brown, Willie D. Brown Jr., and Deondre Brown all of Albany GA a host of great nieces and nephews; and a loving and devoted friend, Beverly Winchester.
