IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Flora Lee
Deariso
February 21, 1941 – September 12, 2022
Flora Lee Deariso was born in Leesburg, Georgia on October 9, 1967. She was the fifth child in the union of the late John and Phenia Whitsett.
She received her formal education in the Lee County School System, including Lee County High School. Flora excelled as a student and was a ray of sunshine to teachers, fellow students, and friends.
From a very early age, Flora was taught to love and reverence God. She was a faithful member of Wooden Grove Baptist Church and welcomed the opportunity to serve wherever needed. She dearly loved the Lord and she spread the gospel to those she met through her kind deeds, actions, and service. In addition to her church membership, she was an active member of the Order of Eastern Stars where she was truly dedicated to charity, loving-kindness, and uplifting others through service in the community.
Flora was united in marriage to Bobby Deariso who preceded her in death. As a wife and mother, she was deeply devoted to her family with a steadfast and caring love. She was well organized, often busy working hard at her home, constantly on the move, but she always found time to add brightness and cheer to every day. Family was her most precious treasure.
Endearingly called "Tuta" and "Mama" by family and friends, Flora was fun-loving; a joy to be around; a provider of strength, knowledge and wisdom; and a friend you could always count on. She believed deeply in unconditional love, delighted in spending time with family and friends, and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. In her leisure, she enjoyed crocheting blankets to welcome newborns into the family and she never missed an opportunity to go FISHING at a pond or creek. She will be remember as a lady with a heart of gold and a genuinely kind spirit.
On October On September 12, 2022, Flora's earthly journey ended and she entered into eternal rest. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Mary Lee Smith, Jesse Whitsett, James Whitsett, Minnie Mae Carter, and Lula Bell Green.
Fond memories will be forever cherished by her children, Jennifer (Eric) Daniels, Patrick (Panviki) Deariso, Spencer (Lakisha) Deariso, and Anthony B. Deariso; siblings, Barbara (Willie) Keith, Ulysses Whitsett, John (Althea) Whitsett, and Robert Whitsett; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
