Obituary

Flossie Ren Clinton, beloved daughter of the late Willie Ingram and Corinne Jackson Ingram, was born in Leesburg, Georgia on November 17, 1932.

During the early years of her life, she was educated in the Lee County School System.

From a very early age, Flossie was immersed in the Christian community that was her life-long support. Upon yielding her life to Christ, she began a life-time journey of commitment and Christian stewardship. Flossie united with the Church of Leesburg under the leadership of Apostle Malden Batten and was a faithful member until her demise. Through the years, her faith in God kept her spiritually strong and she never ceased to give Him the glory for the blessings in her life.

Flossie was united in holy matrimony to Walker Lee Clinton, Sr. They shared a love that endured through the years and a devotion to one another that was strong and unshakeable. She was an exceptional homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother who looked well to the ways of her household. For many years, she was employed in custodial services by numerous businesses, including the Albany Towers. She was a valued employee who took pride in her work and always stayed the course to ensure that no task was ever left undone.

Often described as a strong but gentle woman, Flossie was a joy to be around. She had a servant's heart and felt most comfortable when helping others. In her family, she was the "calm in the storm—the glue that held them together." She believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed spending tie with family and friends, and truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.

On August 26, 2020, Flossie transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace with the Lord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Lee Clinton, Sr.; five children, Matthew Clinton, Evelyn Clinton, Alberta Norman, Barbara Ann Clinton, and Willie C. Hanes; and her son-in-law Mack Robinson.

Fond memories will be forever cherished by her children, Lynda Robinson, Ruby Johnson, Catherine (Karl) Kennedy, Corinne (Kenneth) Clark, and Walker Lee Clinton, Jr. all of Albany, GA, Carol (Jimmie) Griffin of Leesburg, GA, and Walker A. Clinton of Arizona; two sisters, Essie Smith of Tennessee and Betty (Sandy) James of Albany, GA; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
