Floyd Frederick Peterman, affectionally known as "Pete" and "Coach", began his journey on February 24, 1949 with his earthly parents Mrs. Eva Theresa Williams Peterman and Mr. Robert Peterman in Fort Gaines, Georgia. He was one of eight intimately woven siblings.
Floyd's journey through life was filled with remarkable people and experiences which he cherished dearly. He received his early education in the Clay County Public School System in Fort Gaines, Georgia where he attended a school named in honor of and found by his Great Grandfather, Ashbury Speight.
