IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frankie Lee
Hill
August 12, 1931 – October 20, 2019
The season of life for Frankie Lee Hill began on August 12, 1931, in Baker County, Georgia. She was the first child born into the family of the late Paralee White and Henry Holt.
Frankie had the great advantage of growing up in a home in which the Lord was revered and worshipped. At a very early age, she professed her faith and belief in Christ and united with the First Bethesda Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Jordan. Through the years, she was a faithful member and a dedicated Sunday School teacher. She was strong in her faith and stood boldly for the cause of Christ.—always giving him the glory, honor, and praise.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe High School
Frankie was united in marriage to Esco Hill of Baker County. Their bond endured through the years as they honored their vows to love and cherish each other. As a wife and mother of three wonderful children, she was constant in her efforts to care for the needs of her family through her employment with the Dougherty County Extension Service and Harambee Child Development Center operated by Carol King. She worked untiringly through the years to conquer any task placed before her; and retired after rendering innumerable years of loyal service.
"Mother Hill" as she was affectionately called by many, was a very genuine, kind-hearted lady who embraced life experiences with open arms. She never met a stranger and could converse with anyone who came into her life. She had a servant's heart and felt most content when serving and helping others. Her home was a revolving door for family and friends and her commitment to them was the cornerstone of who she was.
On October 20, 2019, Mother Hill took her last breath surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Esco Hill; two children, Ezekial Hill and Toni Hill; and four siblings, Walter C. Kendrick, Isaac Kendrick, Coleman Kendrick, and Mary Lee Kendrick.
Fond memories will forever be cherished by her loving son, Lenza F. Hill (Olesha Shorter) of Douglasville, GA; granddaughter Latesha Munns of Tampla, FL; stepson, Reverend Dr. Curtis J. Haynes (Emmajean McIntyre) of Port Orchard, WA; siblings, Louella Sapp (McKinley). Daisy Mae Anthony (Oran), and King Edward Kendrick (Cassandra) all of Albany, GA; stepsister, Mary Derrico of Orlando, FL; nurse's aide, Judy B. Williams (Terrance) of Marietta, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
