Franklin D. Robinson was born in the Graves community located in Terrell County Georgia. He was the eleventh child of twelve born to the
late Sim and Irena Mae Rogers Robinson on July 18, 1937. He attended the public schools of Terrell County and was a 1957 graduate of George Washington Carver High School.

Franklin accepted Christ at an early age and joined the St. James C. M. E. church in Terrell County where he served for forty-two years before moving his membership to Cray Chapel C. M. E. church in Albany, GA.

He was united in Holy Matrimony in 1962 to Carolyn Shorter and to this union three children were born: Barry Keith Robinson Sr. (Trina), the late Daphne Joynette Robinson Bell (Gregory), and Stephanie Benita Robinson Seigler. Later in 1998, he married the late Linda Dunson
Foster who brought to this union two daughters Lana Foster-Williams and Natalie Foster-Milton (Philip).

After graduating high school, he became employed with Littleston Company. Later he transitioned to a career at Firestone Manufacturers
as a machine mechanic until the plant closed. After the closure of Firestone, Franklin pursued his love of repairing vehicles at the Firestone
Care Center and later at the Kmart Automotive Center. Upon his retirement he worked for the Dougherty County School System as a crossing guard.

He was a faithful member of Eureka Lodge #73, where he served as a member since 1970. Franklin loved the Lord and served him until God
called him home on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

In addition to his parents, wife Linda, and daughter Daphne he was proceeded in death by ten of his siblings. He leaves to cherish his
memories, four children and eight grandchildren Barry Jr., Brian, Brittney (Dudley), Korey, Earnest IV, Eric, Nydia, Nyja, ten greatgrandchildren, one sister Elizabeth R. Mitchell, a special nephew Levy Watson (Gloria), a Goddaughter Harriet Hollis, two sisters in law, Bobbie Jean Simpson, Gwendolyn Dennard, a brother in law Eugene McFarlin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, the beloved class of 1957 and other friends.
