A TIME TO BE BORN: Freddie Lee Mosely was born May 28, 1945 in Sasser, GA. He is the son of the late Ida Mae Bass Washington and the grandson of the late Rev. Sonny Mosely, Sr., and Mrs. Dollie Mae Mallow Mosely. Freddie was raised by his mother and grandparents.
A TIME TO LEARN: Freddie was educated in the Terrell County and Dougherty County School Systems and was a proud member of the Monroe High School graduating class of 1964. He attended the Albany Technical College, graduating from the Electrical Construction program and went on to earn an associate degree.
A TIME TO SERVE: Freddie accepted Christ and was baptized at Friendship Memorial Baptist Church, which is now Oakridge Baptist Church. He served his Country faithfully in the U. S. Army as a medic in the Vietnam war.
A TIME TO WORK: Freddie's work history include electrician for several companies; technician for Xerox; and as an electrical contractor.
A TIME TO LOVE AND EMBRACE: Freddie loved his family and enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with them. He also enjoyed spending time with friend and keeping up with the ASU Golden Rams football team. He was a fun-loving guy and dressed to impress. He was known to his friends as "Time." After he retired, he gained a 2 nd family at "The Beautiful Restaurant" in Atlanta, The staff called him the Ambassador, but others that gathered daily at the "Round Table" with him to eat and chat, called him the " President of the Round Table ."
A TIME TO REST: Freddie was called to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. One sister-in-law preceded him in death, Mrs. Mary Alice Sims Mosely.
A TIME TO CHERISH: Fond memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. Freddie is survived by five brothers and two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and friends: Willie J. Mosely, Atlanta, GA; Robert T. Bass (Latrice), Patricia Bailey (Larry), Jonesboro, GA; Charlie Bass (Vivian) and Mollie Walls (Clyde), Albany, GA; Clifford J. Bass (Charloyn), Colonial Heights, Virginia; Walter Lee Bass (Betty), Petersburg, Virginia. In addition to his friends at "The Beautiful Restaurant," He is also survived by a special cousin, friend and caregiver, John Noird Jr. of Atlanta, GA.
