Geraldine Jeter Williams was the second oldest of three children, born in Albany, GA to the late Ewell and Minnie L. Jeter. She was the twin
sister of the late Ernestine Jeter McNeil and the older sister to the late Eugene A. Jeter.

Geraldine received her primary education in the Dougherty County School System. Upon graduation, she continued and completed her secondary education at Georgia Normal and Agricultural High School (now known as Albany State University). Later, she enrolled at Washington Beauty School and achieved her career goal of becoming a licensed cosmetologist. She successfully owned and operated Jerry's Beauty Shop for over 50 years.

At an early age, Geraldine accepted the call to Christianity and became a lifelong member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church. She served in many capacities including Mother of the Church, Stewardess, Steward Board and The Patty Lofton Women's Missionary Society. She gave of herself for which she was richly rewarded.

After marrying the late Alexander Williams, they raised two children, Shelia Ann Butler and Ronald Williams. Geraldine provided for her
children by giving them what they needed and not always what they desired. She supported her children in activities and always stressed
the importance of education.

Geraldine Jeter Williams was called home to be with the Lord and to reunite with her twin sister on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the age of 96. Geraldine leaves to celebrate the legacy of her life two children, daughter, Shelia Ann Butler and son, Ronald Williams(Faye)both of
Albany, GA; Grandchildren the late William Alexander Corbett, Tifton, GA; Erica Monique Corbett, Albany, GA; and Chiquetta Lynn Jones
(Alfred) of Anderson, SC; niece, Andrea Smith, Coatsville, PA; great nephew, Leroy Jenkins, Roanoke, VA.; four great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing
friends.
