Glyndale Boatwright York was born April 18, 1959 in Albany, GA., to the late Estella Mae Boatwright and Leslie L. Ponder.

She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, and graduated from Monroe High School with the class of 1978. After graduating from High School she enrolled into Meadows School of Business and earned her Associates Degree with highest honors. Glyndale's generous spirit, pleasant personality, and forgiving heart was loved by many. The love Glyndale had for her kids and family extended to the community through service with her church Christ Only Community.

She quietly departed this life Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Ikeco York (Necole), and Kenyada Boatwright (Kadeem) both of Atlanta, GA; sisters: Cassandra Salters, Debra Williams (Charles), Lessie Lamar (Gary), and Rhonda Nesbit (Robert); brothers: Larry Boatwright, Lester Boatwright (Belinda), Les Jackson, and Frank Ponder. Glyn had lots of fun and great love for her cousins, friends and family.
