IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hazel
Williams
November 25, 1937 – April 29, 2025
Hazel Lee Williams was born November 25, 1937, in Worth County, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Griffin and Annie Mae Harris.
She was educated in the Worth County School System, graduating from Worth County High School. Throughout her school years, she demonstrated exceptional potential while developing a deep passion and calling to serve others.
Very early in life, Hazel was nurtured in the Word of God. She was a devoted member of Saints of God House of Worship of Albany, Georgia. Her faith and trust in God guided her life and allowed her to be an example for all who encountered her.
She was united in holy matrimony to Norman Williams who preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife and meticulous homemaker who was well organized—everything had its place! Blessed with supreme culinary skills, Hazel was employed at Carter's Steak House for numerous years. She was proud of her cooking skills and worked tirelessly to ensure that customers were completely satisfied. An exceptionally persistent and conscientious individual, Hazel was also employed at Belk's Department Store in downtown Albany for many years. Daily, she poured herself into her work; never shied away from a challenge; and always gave her BEST! She retired after years of loyal and dedicated service.
Hazel had a zest for life in everything that she did. She had a servant's heart and felt most comfortable when helping others; believed deeply in unconditional love; and enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. One of her greatest pleasures in life was being outside enjoying nature and taking lengthy walks. When not engaged in other activities, she enjoyed attending the Mary Shipp Senior Citizen Center in Sylvester, Georgia.
On April 29, 2025, Hazel transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. Although her absence leaves a void, we take comfort in knowing that love is eternal and will always bind us together.
Cherished memories will forever remain with her siblings, Raymond (Geraldine) Harris, Robert James Harris, Mary (Loman) Wilson, and Thelma Jean Harris; cousin, David (Shirley) Hunt; a very special friend who provided a caring home for her over the last 30 years, Helen Ausby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
