IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry Kirk
Edwards
May 31, 1962 – August 15, 2024
Henry Ark Edwards was born in Worth County, Georgia on May 31.1962. He was the beloved son of the late Jimmy and Gloria Edwards.
He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Worthy County School System. During his school years, he was a lively, strong-willed young man who was always ready for adventure and actively participated in numerous student-centered functions and activities.
Very early in life, Henry accepted Christ as his Savior. He dearly loved the Lord and remained a very humble and prayerful servant throughout life's journey.
Henry was united in marriage to his friend and life-long mate, Marion Smith. They shared a love that overflowed with joy, laughter, and true devotion to each other. He was an extraordinary husband and father who was full of wisdom, compassion, strength, love, and humor. Family was paramount in his life and he took great care in providing for them.
Deeply rooted in the soil, Henry developed an unquenchable passion for farming very early in life that endured throughout his lifetime. Over the years, he worked tirelessly while employed at Lynwood Sutton Farms, Taylor Farms, and Homer Chapman Farms. Whether cultivating crops, tending livestock, hauling produce, or simply driving a tractor, he looked upon each task with equal importance and gave each of them his ALL.
Devoted husband, loving father, nurturing grandfather, committed brother, caring uncle, unforgettable cousin, and loyal friend Henry was a good natured and generous man with a big heart, and a pleasure to be around. In his family, he was the calm in the storm—the glue that held them together. He believed deeply in unconditional love, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and delighted in helping and caring for others. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
On August 15, 2024, Henry transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his seven siblings, Mary Ann Edwards, Frank Edwards, Randy Charles Edwards, Larry Edwards, Jimmy Lee Edwards, Freddrick LaCharles Edwards, and James Edwards.
