Henry Lee Thomas was born in Albany, Georgia on October 6, 1953.  He was the beloved son of the late Loies and Margaret Thomas..

During the early years of his life, Henry attended the public schools of Dougherty County where he participated in various school activities.

He was united in marriage and blessed with a loving family with whom they took great care in their upbringing and spent many happy and precious moments together.

Henry was strong and stern; yet loving, kind, and fair.  He was a man of few words, but when he spoke people listened.  Family meant the world to him and he cherished the time spent with them.  He was a man of little wealth, but he gave abundantly to his family.  He loved deeply, laughed often, and lived life to the fullest.

Over the years, Henry wore many hats with a style and flare that was second to none.  He was a uniquely gifted individual who was blessed with a strong and beautiful voice, was passionate about music and playing pool, and had a smile that was radiant and contagious.

On Thursday, Saturday, December 9, 2017, Henry's earthly journey ended and he entered into eternal rest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Juanita Thomas Roberts, Johnny Lee Thomas, and Loies Thomas, Jr.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories his children, Kwanteko Walker, Henry Walker, Valerie Hunt, Michael Hunt, Sarah (McSean) McLeod, Tammie Thomas, and Alison Thomas; four brothers, Lewis (Judy) Thomas, Charles Thomas, Alex (Elizabeth) Thomas, and Sammy Thomas; nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
