Henry Waters was born in Lee County, Georgia on December 2, 1951. He was the beloved son of the late Georgia Mae and Wimbley Waters , Sr.
During his early years, he attended the public schools of Lee County and was actively involved in various school functions and activities.
Throughout his childhood, Henry was nurtured in the word of God. As a youth, he began his journey with the Lord at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon and Chairman of the Deacon Board for numerous years. Deacon Waters was a man who was strong in faith, in character, and in wisdom. He was a vessel whose faith in God never wavered.
On December 19, 1975, he was united in holy matrimony to Ann Bradford. Through this union, he became a loving and devoted father of one son, Jarvis, who was his pride and joy.
Deacon Waters wore many hats in his life. He was an incredible husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin who was profoundly devoted to his family and friends.
On January 11, 2018, he departed this earthly life as he quietly transitioned to eternal rest.
He leaves to cherish his memories a loving son, Jarvis Waters of Temple Hills, MD; siblings, Wimbley Waters, Jr. of Decatur, GA, Dorothy Milton of St. Petersburg, FL, Alfreda Bashir of Pinellas Park, FL, Gloria Waters of Daytona Beach, FL, James (Judy) Waters of Hiram, GA, Arlene Waters of Warner Robins GA, Elijah (Lynn) Waters of Cordele, GA, Isaiah (Shawanda) Waters of Leesburg, GA, Pommie (Thonda) Taylor of Millington, TN, and William (Barbara) Waters, Loretta (Jimmy) Hooks, Anthony (Katrena) Waters, and Lottie (Rahmel) Watson all of Albany, GA; one aunt, Velma Tuff of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
