In loving memory of Inell Anthony Gaines, who peacefully departed this life on May 16, 2026, at the remarkable age of 98. Born on April 22, 1928, Inell’s nearly century-long journey was marked by resilience, dignity, and the gentle strength with which she touched all those around her.
Throughout her long life, Inell witnessed profound changes in the world, holding steadfastly to her values while adapting to the times. Though the details of her early years, professional pursuits, and specific life milestones are not listed here, what is certain is that her presence was a cherished comfort to her friends and her wider community. Inell’s legacy is woven into the fabric of many lives, remembered through kind words, warm memories, and the positive impact she made.
Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Inell’s life at several upcoming services. A viewing will be held on May 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Martin Luther King Memorial Chapel, located at 1908 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Albany, Georgia. The following day, on May 23, 2026, friends and loved ones will gather for a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 802 South Jefferson Street, Albany, Georgia. Following the service, Inell will be laid to rest at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2120 M. L. King, Jr. Drive, Albany, Georgia.
