IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Irene J.
Denson
December 29, 1951 – August 8, 2021
Evangelist Irene Jenkins Denson was born on the county line of Lee and Terrell Counties on December 29, 1951. She was the beloved daughter of the late Issac and Pearlie Mae Jenkins.
In her formative years, she was educated in the Lee County School System, including Lee County Training School in Leesburg, Georgia. Irene was very active in athletics and played softball, basketball, and ran track. She was also a member of the band. Throughout school, she was an adventurous young lady with zeal for learning and new experiences.
Irene's love for God and the church began at a very early age. As her relationship with the Lord deepened, she united with the First Albany Deliverance Cathedral under the leadership of the late Apostle Isiah Revills. She dearly loved the Lord and availed herself in service as an usher, Sunday School teacher, and a member of the choir. Her strong faith, convictions, and call to evangelism led her to North Carolina College of Theology in Wilmington, NC where she earned both the Bachelor's and Master's degree in Theology. At the time of her demise, she was
enrolled in the Doctoral program.
Evangelist Denson lived her conviction of service and ministered to all who would hear her. She was a trusted advisor, teacher, confidant, protector, provider, and friend who willingly helped those in need and exhorted everyone to believe the best of others, believe God, and act in faith.
A very conscientious and persistent individual, Evangelist Denson worked at Cagles in Camilla, Georgia before transitioning to employment in home health care and medical services. Family relationships were vital to her and a source of great joy and fellowship. She was a devoted mother created a home atmosphere filled with the love of Christ; who taught her children the value of hard work; and was deeply involved her children's activities and endeavors. Family and friends visiting her home were always greeted with open arms as she shared life lessons and words of encouragement.
Evangelist Denson peacefully answered the Master's call to eternal rest on Sunday, August 8, 2021. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
