Isaac Harris was born in Albany, Georgia on May 3, 1965. He was the beloved son of the late Elijah Harris and Alice Harris Hawkins.
He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, including Westover High School. While at Westover, he participated in various school organizations, activities, and sporting events. At a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
On June 24, 1995, he was united in holy matrimony to Edna Nelson. They shared a love that was strong and unshakeable while honoring their vows to honor and cherish each other. As a husband and father, Isaac was diligent in caring for the needs of his family. He was a very conscientious, hardworking individual who gave his very best at whatever he did; was not afraid of hard work; and was a loyal, self-motivated employee of Carter's Grill & Restaurant until its closing.
"Ike" as he was fondly called, was often described as an energetic, happy young man with a loving and quiet strength. He was a friend you could depend on and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Family and friends were among his most cherished gifts and he delighted in spending quality time with them. His engaging personality, gigantic heart, and great sense of humor captivated people around him in a very special way. The strong bonds of friendship that he developed throughout his life will long be remembered and held dear by those who knew and loved him.
On June 26, 2020, Isaac quietly transitioned to eternal rest at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Ulysee Harris, Emmitt Harris, Ezell Harris, and Melinda Solomon..
Cherished memories will forever remain with his devoted wife, Edna Nelson Harris; his daughter, Alexis Harris of Murfreesboro, TN; grandsons, Aiden Harris and Kayden Harris; siblings, Reverend Dr. Miller (Carol) Harris, Roosevelt (Catherine) Harris, Pastor Victor Harris, Alfred Harris, Sam Harris, Lena Mobley, Helen (Reverend J.
