Obituary

Isaha Latrell Porter, loving daughter of David C. Porter and Wandanet Hannibal, was born November 9, 1985, in Albany, Georgia.

Growing up in Augusta, Georgia, Isaha received her early childhood and secondary education in the Richmond County School System.  Throughout school, was a very lively young lady who always tried to find the positivity in all things and spread her contagious energy to everyone around her.

Isaha was the epitome of a devoted mother, grandmother, and meticulous homemaker.  She took her role seriously and invested much time and skill in caring for her home and family.  She had a quiet strength, never complained, always had a smile, and often sacrificed her needs for the good of her children and grandchildren. Family was her world and she showered them daily with unconditional love.  Her devotion was immeasurable.

A very kind and outgoing individual, Isaha was determined to make the most of every day.  Although faced with health challenges, she continually encouraged and inspired others to have strength and endurance even in the most difficult times.  She was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, or friend.  Entertaining family and friends was an integral part of her life and she cherished every moment spent with them.  She also enjoyed reading and engaging everyone around her in endless hours of conversation.  We all were beneficiaries because her enthusiasm and exuberance were truly contagious and memorable.

On Friday, August 15, 2025, Isaha transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmore and Iola Porter.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of her parents, David D. Porter and Wandanet Hannibal; her children, Makayla Porter, Zackery Porter and Davion Porter; grandchildren, Kemyjah Watson and Rayleigh Kitchens; grandparents, Charles Porter, Sr. and Lorraine Riggins; sister, Caleccia Porter; several aunts and uncles; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
