Obituary

Ishmael Tshombie Williams, beloved son of Mattie Warren and David Williams, Jr., was born in Albany, Georgia on August 22, 1974.

He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, he was a very inquisitive young man who garnered much from his educational experiences while actively participating in various student organizations
and activities.

Having been totally captivated by the love of his life, Ishmael and Bridgette Gilbert were joined in holy matrimony. They shared a love
that knew no boundaries and was unshakeable. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who supported his family in all of their endeavors. Family was paramount in his life.

A very conscientious and persistent individual, Ishmael was a dedicated employee of Ken's Food, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his employment, he never shied away from hard work and labored untiringly to provide quality service—always giving his best!

Ishmael was often described as a man with an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He treated everyone with kindness and respect, listened without judgement, provided a safe space for others to share, and always stood ready to end a helping hand.

Family and friends meant the world to him and he cherished the time spent with them—making every gathering memorable with his quirky sense of humor, laughter, kind words, and one-of-a-kind personality. He also enjoyed various recreational and leisure activities, including fishing, riding his slingshot, and playing the lottery.

Ishmael will long be remembered by many as a ray of light that shed beams of love, kindness, and humility all around.

On October 29, 2023, Ishmael answered the Master's call to eternal peace and rest. Although his departure from this earthly realm leaves a
void, he has left indelible footprints that will forever be remembered. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hattie Lue Townsell, James William Townsel, David Williams, Sr., and Willie Mae Williams.
