IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacqueline Denise
Westbrook Thomas
June 12, 1958 – January 11, 2025
The season of life Jacqueline Denise Thomas began on June 12, 1958, in Albany, Georgia. She was the fourth of eight siblings born to the late Mary Frances Green Westbrook and George Westbrook.
She received her early childhood and secondary education in the Dougherty County School System. Throughout school, Jackie was a very lively, energetic young lady who was a ray of sunshine to teachers, fellow classmates, and close friends.
Very early in life, Jackie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her spiritual foundation and faith in God made her resilient and enabled her to live a life full of meaning and purpose. Known affectionately as "Jackie from the South Side," she was a beloved presence in her community. Her home on South Madison was a haven of warmth, solace, and generosity for anyone in need of a hot meal, a laugh, or just a word of encouragement. Freely she gave—never asking anything in return.
Jackie was a very genuine, kind-hearted, simplistic person who embraced life's experiences with open arms. She never met a stranger, could converse with anyone who came into her life, and felt most content when serving others. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family—especially her nephews who held the keys to her heart. Her unwavering kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were blessed to know her.
On January 11, 2025, Jackie transitioned from this earthly season at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Brenda Joyce White, Anthony Edward Westbrook, and Robert Lynn Westbrook.
Cherished memories will forever remain with her devoted companion of over 30 years, James Williams; her siblings, Betty Juanita Williams, Alexander Steven Westbrook, Alfredish Westbrook, and Jwana Lucretia Washington; her cousin who was like a sister, Edna Marie Murray; nephews whom she lovingly cared for, Jamarion Mott, Anthony Dejuan Westbrook, and Benjie Green; and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
