IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacquelyn Rozella
Howard
September 23, 1967 – February 21, 2024
Jacquelyn Rozella Brown Howard was born in Albany, Georgia on September 23, 1967. She was the beloved daughter of Queen Esther
Brown and the late Jimmie Lee Lyons.
She was educated in the Dougherty County School System, including Albany High School. Throughout school, Jacquelyn was a very considerate, attentive young lady with a zeal to be of service and help others. She was active in numerous school activities and events.
From a very early age, Jacquelyn was nurtured in the Word of God while attending church with her mother. In later years, she was added to the body of Christ at US 19 Church of Christ under the leadership of Minister Jesse Jackson, Sr. Jacquelyn dearly loved the Lord and
remained steadfast and prayerful in her daily walk. As she continued in her season of Christian stewardship, she united with the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the guidance of Pastor Kurt Bland. There, her love for God and the church strengthened and her spiritual gifts were nurtured as she rendered unparalleled service in her calling as a Deaconess. Her faith and trust in God guided her life and allowed her to be an example for all who encountered her.
Jacquelyn was a very conscientious, persistent individual who held fast to her belief in professional work ethics and responsibilities. Throughout her employment in housekeeping at the Courtyard Marriott, she never shied away from a challenge and always gave her very best—no matter what the task.
Often described as a caring and generous lady, Jacquelyn saw the beauty in all things; sensitive to the needs of others; accepted everyone for who they were; and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. She was a giver—always willing to give to anyone in need and never expected anything in return. Jacquelyn was an extraordinary mother and grandmother, a committed sister and nurturing aunt, a loyal niece and cousin, and the best friend anyone could ever hope for. She truly cherished the time spent with her family and friends. Her kind, gentle spirit will always have a very special place in the hearts of all who knew and loved her dearly.
On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Jacquelyn transitioned from this earthly life to eternal peace and rest. In addition to her father, she was
preceded in death by her grandmother, Katherine Williams; her brother, Willie Brown; and three sisters-in-law, Ola Oliver, Eddie Mae Smith, and Carolyn Smith.
