IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Charles
Banks
July 26, 1952 – May 15, 2023
James Charles Banks was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 26, 2952. He was the son of Vera Mae Clark and the late Leroy Banks.
He received his early childhood and secondary education in the Mitchell County School System and was actively involved in various student centered activities and organizations.
James was united in marriage to the love of his life, Annie Pearl. His love for her was unmatched—she was the sparkle in his eyes, the beat in his heart, and the air that he breathed. Together, they built a life filled with adventure and memories. Robert was an awesome husband and father who took great care in providing for his family through his employment as a heavy equipment operator with various companies in the Southwest Georgia area. No matter what the task, he was a conscientious, loyal employee who worked untiringly through the years—always giving his best.
Often described as a nurturing and caring individual, James was humble, loving, and giving. His life was filled with many interesting experiences combined with various hobbies and pastimes. The simplest pleasures in life brought his great joy and happiness. He enjoyed fishing, going for rides and sightseeing, and spending memorable moments with family and friends. He truly cherished every moment of his life and always looked forward to a better tomorrow.
On Monday, May 15, 2023, James transitioned from this earthly life to eternal rest and peace. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Angela, Jean, Shirley, Dorothy, Bridgett, Stoley, and Roger.
