Obituary

James Cartez Hall was born on January 24, 1965, in Albany, Georgia.  He was the beloved son of Willie James Hall and Rosa Mae Hall.

He received his formal education in the Dougherty County School System, graduating from Westover High School in 1983.  Throughout his school years, he was actively involved in numerous student organizations and activities.  James was an athlete who loved all sports, but he was most passionate about football.  While at Westover, he was a fiercely talented member of the Patriots football team.

James was an extremely conscientious individual who gave his best at whatever he did.  He enjoyed a  very diverse and rewarding career that included employment at Goodyear and Toole's Flooring.  He was a loyal, dedicated employee who stayed the course until his health declined.

Often described as a selfless man with a gigantic heart, James had a special way of getting to know people and becoming a part of their lives. His comical, one-of-a-kind personality lightened the spirit of family and friends; and his never-ending stories and jokes kept them on their toes.  The strong bonds of friendship that he developed throughout his life will forever be cherished and remembered.

On November 27, 2020, James quietly transitioned to eternal rest at the Willson Hospice House.

Loving memories will forever be cherished by his loving parents, Willie James Hall of Leesburg, GA and Rosa Mae Hall of Albany, GA; three sons, Peron (Byesha) Cleveland, James Hall, Jr., and Cartez Hall all of Thomasville, GA; siblings, Mary (Charlie) Green, Demetrius Oliver, and James Ellis all of Albany, GA, Belinda (Daniel) Clinton of Leesburg, GA, and Regina (Charlie) Jones of Hinesville, GA; a very special friend, Cynthia Redding of Albany, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
