Mr. James Edward (Tiger) Brown was born on July 31, 1938 in Cross City, Florida to the late Benton and Nellie Brown. The Brown family moved to Rochester, New York in 1947; were he resided until 2015. During his years in Rochester, Tiger Brown was a semi-professional bowler, baseball and pool player, golfer, and enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was an avid watcher of sports (especially the Dallas Cowboys) and western movies. He was an advocate for his community and hard worker; retiring from construction in 2003. Mr. Brown had a strong faith and love of God; becoming Deacon Brown in 2009. He believed in supporting family and loved all of his children. In December of 2015, Tiger Brown moved to Albany Georgia to marry his current wife, Kathy Jackson-Brown.

Tiger Brown transitioned on May 3, 2019. He was predeceased by his parents Benton and Nellie Brown, brothers Edward Lee "Skinny" Brown and Ernest Smith, first wife Annie Ruth Brown, daughter Brenda Lee Brown and son James Benton Brown.

He will forever be remembered by his wife Kathy Jackson-Brown; siblings Otha-Jewel Linder , Pearlean Davis, Mildred Scott, Betty Slater, Barbara-Jean Jones, Benton (Bennie) Brown, Robert (Sunny) Brown, Willie Brown; children Annette Singleton, Leslie Brown-Scurry, Clarese Brown, Kareem Singletary, Demika Jackson, Nellie Jackson, Erica Brown, Mercedes Brown; grandchildren Cornelius Welch, Shana Brown, Charles Loftly Jr., Semone Scurry, Christina Scurry, Michael Scurry, Deonte Garner, Jahreem Singletary, Jahnaviah & Jahmariah Singletary, Karter Singletary, Qyiuana McClain, Christopher Hemphill Jr., Nyjah Jackson, Ava Marie Price; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
