IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jaquarious Akil
Witchard
August 3, 1994 – August 8, 2023
Jaquarious Akil Witchard was born August 3, 1994, to Demetrius Williams and Cristi Witchard. Jaquarious was the happiest baby around. He was enthusiastic, free-spirited, and kept the biggest smile on his face.
He was educated in the Dougherty County School System. He graduated from Albany High School in 2013. He received his certification as an Event Coordinator in 2015, a certification in hotel management specialist in 2017, and an Associate Degree in Hotel Restaurant/Tourism Management in 2020 all from Albany Technical College.
Jaquarious was the family Chef. He learned his cooking skills from his beloved grandmother Shirley Howard. Jaquarious was always in the kitchen ready to help prepare anything he could. He was forever cooking and preparing meals for his family and friends. His baby back ribs were his grandmother's favorite. Cooking and shopping were a few of his favorite hobbies. His love for fashion was impeccable.
Jaquarious was raised in a Christian home. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal savior and became a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. John Arthur Severson. Jaquarious was a member of the youth ministry and Junior Choir where he left a lasting impression by singing "You Keep on Blessing Me".
Jaquarious never knew idleness. His passion for helping others afforded him many work opportunities. He was employed by Cheddars Scratch Kitchen, Ulta Beauty, Courtyard by Marriott, Olive Garden, and Double Gate Country Club, to name a few. The Flint, and Outback Steakhouse were his final places of employment where he worked faithfully and diligently until God called him home.
Endearingly known as "Boo-Boo" by many, Jaquarious knew how to live life. His love and devotion to his family and friends was unmatched. His heart was filled with compassion and care for everyone he encountered. Boo-Boo will truly be missed by everyone.
Saints don't die, they simply sleep away. On August 8, 2023, in the comforts of his home Jaquarious transitioned from labor to reward. He is now resting in the land of no more worry, sorrow, and pain. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Bennie Frank Howard and Lucile Howard.
