Jatavious Dashuwn Johnson was born in Albany, Georgia on August 3, 2004.  He was the son of Tamika Sweet and David Johnson, Jr.

He attended the public schools of Dougherty County, including Monroe Comprehensive High School.  He was a member of Caught Up Ministries of Albany.

"Ja Ja," as he was fondly called, was a very lively, enthusiastic, spirited, and outgoing individual who lived life boldly and with intense energy.  He was free-spirited, strong willed, and oftentimes the life of the crowd.  His love of life, sense of humor and laughter, and energetic personality attracted many people to him, and kept them on their toes.   Jatavious was, without a doubt,  a one-of-a-kind son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who marched to the beat of his own drum; held family and friends close to heart; and will be deeply missed by all who loved him dearly.

On October 25, 2022, Jotavious departed this earthly life at his home.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Rosa G. Sweet; paternal grandfather, David Johnson, Sr.; and his niece, E'Maja Floyd.

Cherished memories will forever remain in the hearts of his loving and devoted parents, Tamika Sweet of Albany, GA and David Johnson, Jr. of Thomasville, GA; maternal grandfather, Charlie Acree of Camilla, GA; paternal grandmother, Barbie Johnson of Moultrie, GA; siblings, Zakiyah Sweet, Dericka (Jordan) Floyd, and Demarco Broadway all of Albany, GA, Daryl Westry, Jr. of North Carolina, and David Johnson III, Cameron Johnson, and Yah'Kaden Johnson all of Thomasville, GA; a special friend, Tyteanna Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
